golly, i LOVE that this is so very detailed! i especially love all the details in his chest, neck, etc. 8D also YAY SHINYNESS AND THE SPINE!

it took me such a long time to do all that detail work. weeks. i wanted to make it look 3D as possible while still only working with 2D scribblings. and inside the chest is supposed to be a steam engine thing. or how i imagine it would look. gears on top of circuitry hidden behind the blue matter bauble. this is probably the best work i've ever done

Can't believe all the attention to detail here, this is fantastic! Only thing is that you could almost darken the background just a bit, at least behind him, and he'd stand out a bit more, but eh, I'm nitpicking. XD Point is, I love it!

i agree. the over all composition of this is not the best. no matter what i did he kept drowning in everything. but a stark background wasn't grandiose enough and made it look half done.
i originally wanted it to look like a red light was shining through the wires behind him but that made it muddy so i darkened it a bit and blurred it to bring the focus on him.
but i think the steam doesn't serve the focus well either. but the steam is half the point. since his guts is a steam engine.
so i finally gave up and posted it. lol.
art is never finished, only abandoned. - something i heard somewhere.
